Called The BWC Cornershop and operating from BWC headquarters on Morley Street Brighton, the new model is a social supermarket, allowing women to choose their own items, and empowering them to make their own food choices. Our sustainable, low-cost mini market is designed to provide food support in a way that offers greater choice, dignity and flexibility for anyone using our services.

When: Every Monday and Wednesday, 10:00am – 12:00pm

Where: Brighton Women’s Centre, Globe House, 3 Morley Street, Brighton, BN2 9RA

How to Book: Please book your appointment here. Appointments are 15 minutes long and can be made once every two weeks.

How the BWC Cornershop Works

The BWC Cornershop is a community supermarket-style food support service. Instead of receiving a pre-packed food parcel, you’ll be able to choose the items that best meet your needs, creating a more familiar and empowering shopping experience

Our shelves will be stocked with a range of essential food items, including:

  • Tins, cartons and long shelf-life cupboard staples
  • Bread
  • Fresh and Frozen food
  • A selection of gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan and other dietary options where available

As part of our sustainable food support model, there is a small charge for goods purchased from the Cornershop. Card and Cash are both excepted.

  • £3 for any 8 items
  • £5 for any 12 items

This contribution helps us maintain and develop the service while continuing to provide affordable access to food support.
