BWC receives award from the High Sheriff for East Sussex

On Tuesday, February 25th, the BWC team was thrilled to welcome Lucinda Fraser, the High Sheriff for East Sussex, to BWC.

During the visit, the High Sheriff presented an award to Marion Taylor, the manager of Inspire, in recognition of BWC’s great and valuable services to the community. The BWC staff were delighted to receive this award, with the High Sheriff offering high praise for the impactful work the organisation has been doing within the community.

The High Sheriff’s award is a testament to BWC’s continued commitment to the women and families of Sussex.

“I am thrilled the High Sheriff of East Sussex, Lucinda Fraser, has honoured BWC by conferring an award on us in recognition of the value of our services for self-identifying women in our communities. With the demand on our staff and support rising, it is welcome to be able to pause momentarily to appreciate others support of us and the work we do. Thank you to Lucinda for doing so.”

As a royal appointee, the High Sheriff’s primary duties involve actively supporting the police, emergency services, and non-profit organisations in East Sussex and Brighton and Hove, while also serving the Crown and the judiciary.
