Community Forum
Join the BWC Community Forum - a space where people with lived experience of BWC’s services come together with staff to co-create and shape the future of BWC’s services.
The BWC Community Forum is a partnership where we all share our ideas and insights. We are moving beyond feedback to active participation in decision-making. Working side-by-side, we make sure that changes are led by a shared understanding of what’s needed, so that BWC services work for everyone.
We are inclusive of all women, including trans women, and non-binary people who feel affirmed and comfortable in a women-focused space.
You are the expert on your own journey and at the heart of everything that BWC does. For BWC to provide the best services, we all need to work in partnership. We are confident that by working together, we can make real improvements in how BWC shows up for women.
The BWC Community Forum is for women who use (or have used) our services.
The Community Forum is committed to:
- Making an impact for all women and children in our community.
- Engaging in discussions that lead to solutions.
- Having an open mind and heart, ensuring everyone has a fair opportunity to share.
- Creating a comfortable environment of acceptance, non-judgement, respect, support, and encouragement.
BWC is here for women from all backgrounds, facing all kinds of issues, to live happier, safer lives. Women’s needs are at the centre of BWC. At BWC, it is recognised that each woman is an individual, with her own history, her own challenges, and her own hopes – and we want and value her input into how to deliver BWC services to meet her needs.
You are invited to join the BWC Community Forum by attending our regular sessions (both in person and online) that are led by service users, in a supportive space for everyone to engage in meaningful conversations.

If you would like to make a change to the lives of women and children at BWC, then you can complete and submit this short ‘Expression of Interest’ form:
Download our Expression of Interest Form
Alternatively, contact the Co-production Co-ordinator by emailing: [email protected]
Once we have received this or once you have contacted the Co-production Co-ordinator, we will arrange an informal meeting to go into more detail about the forum, expectations, any hopes or concerns, and practical details. We can then move onto providing you with an induction before you join
To acknowledge your valuable input, you will be provided with a voucher for your time. For those requiring it, travel costs will also be reimbursed. Individual arrangements will be discussed directly with each participant.
